Mini-Bottles of Champagne and Such-

My husband called me to let me know he had a surprise waiting for me for when I got home. He wouldn't disclose what the big surprise was, but he said that there was no question that I would love it.  All I could think of was that he had brought me mini-bottles of Champagne- (don't ask me why "mini" bottles came to mind, this is just how my brain works). Anyways, sincerely, I was SO thrilled to discover it was some canned goods. These are the things that really do it for me sometimes! Homemade red salsa, green salsa, and plum jam- from the garden of one of his work buddys. If only this dude knew that his gourmet goods rank up there with mini bottles of Champagne- ooh la la. Tres bon! (and by the way, that is the extent of my French vocab!)



Weekend is here and I am wearing a new dress

Here is one of the 3 new dresses that I purchased while attempting to finish my Christmas shopping!  It is about 70 degrees in GA in the middle of November- no complaints here!

• Yes, I am aware that she has a real fur jacket of her own.
• Yes, my husband is embarrassed that I do this to our dog.

Tis the season!

I went Christmas shopping yesterday- It felt wildly successful in the end. Perhaps that's because when I got home it occured to me that the majority of what I had purchased was in fact for... myself. Not entirely true, (but mostly).

1 cherry red clutch
1 cocktail ring
9 cinnamon scented candles
2 necklaces

Faaa la la la la!

I want to have all my shopping done my December. I am probably going to adjust my approach.
